Carbohydrates: Friend, Not Foe
Carbs have gotten a rough rap in the last decade, mostly due to the rise of ultra-refined and heavily processed carbohydrates that can contribute to metabolic problems, digestive issues, and nutrient deficiencies.
But not all carbs are created equal.
Whole food carbs—like fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains—have been nourishing humans for thousands of years, long before industrial food processing took over. When chosen wisely and enjoyed in the right portions, these foods are an essential part of a healthy, balanced diet.
